| Eucalyptus trees blew down on Sierra Madre Villa. Six trees all probably more than 100 yeas old. As you can tell from the trunks, these were very big trees. |

| The trees just fell over and were strewn along the road nearly end to end.. It was sad, strange and fascinating all at the same time to walk the length of these giant trees, from roots to the tree tops. And, standing in the middle of these trees there was this powerful scent of Eucalyptus. |

Pasadena's streets have a sort of post-Rose parade Colorado Blvd look. Only difference today is every street is Colorado and the litter is natural.
Six downed Eukes on one street must have been an amazing site. We had a huge Canary Island Pine fall over (pines didn't fare well from my walk abouts). Of course this didn't stop Hollywood - who continued with it's film shoot at the Ave 64 Church of Angles. This, despite the reeving of chain saws in the background

Our gardener told us a lot of oaks were down on Lombardy Road. I asked him why and he said people water their lawns too much. Oaks can't take a lot of water. He has one client who insists on watering an hour per station, 3 times a week!

Finally had time to check Earthside after these tumultuous winds. There is some disheartening structure issues w/ the shade house & tree breakage from the pics you can see starting here:

But what amazed me the weather & rains has made for colors & rejuvination of plant life. I hope you can document w/ photos as yours are more lively. I'm posting few more pics & glad to see the shade house was not as damaged due to the recent refurbishing of trail railing that contained it!
