Waiting for Black Friday - Two Days to Go

People are already lining up in anticipation of Black Friday sales.   This morning (Wednesday) we saw seven hardy souls camped out in front of the Best Buy on Foothill Blvd.  I was told that the first in line was there last Saturday.

Best Buy opens its doors at 12 am Friday for Black Friday sales.  These folks have today, tonight, then Thanksgiving Day and half the night until they get their prize.   If I'm out, I'll check back later today to see if the line has grown.

What? Seriously? To BUY? Oh my, that is so sad.

These people actually think it's worth it to wait in line for days to buy an object. They think that object will make their lives better. It's pathetic.

What an interesting post, Michael.

Hardy souls?
You should see the hardy souls here in the Detroit area waiting outside the stores.
1. the weather
2. Detroit's economy

There has to be a zillion more uplifting, rewarding things to do than that.

There is nothing I want in a store that could make me wait an hour, let alone days and days. Happy thanksgiving to those in line.

Mrs. EofA, I'm so impatient I can't even wait that long for a movie.

Petrea, I confess that if I'd been younger I would totally have been one of those people lining up at Vroman's at midnight the night the various Harry Potter books were published. So I guess I do have my weaknesses! (And thanks for the like on my page!)

It's my pleasure.

A friend lives nearby & she took a pic of this Occupy Best Buy this evening.

I guess there is relatively little alternative value for the time that these people are camping out. Another unfortunate sign for our bad economy.
