Hot

The Weather Channel on my computer says it reached 105 degrees -- just a few degrees shy of the record for the day of 108 hit in 1963. But my car thinks it hit 112 degrees.

Oh my. I am in Washington D.C. for a meeting today and tomorrow. I stepped off of the airplane today and it was pouring rain and I was thrilled to see it after the past couple of days in Pasadena.

I was out of town for the weekend, drove back this morning, and couldn't believe it when I stepped out of my car at about 10:15 a.m. Scorcher! It's payback time for all that mild summer weather we had.

Car thermometers always seem to be more the truth - I mean, your body is more likely to agree with it! I hope you guys cool down soon.. we are still fighting triple digits, too - and sick of it! It is easy to get cranky over 112.

On Monday, it was hotter in LA than it was in Death Valley. Go figure.
