Tomatoes for Dinner

This weekend we get to enjoy the first returns from our garden. Fresh tomatoes, peppers and basil from the garden along with a little cheese and bread. It is fun to just go out in the garden and pick some fresh vegetables for dinner. Looks like we are going to have alot of tomatoes this year. I think all that prep work we did a few months ago is paying off.

Good blog. How difficult/ez is it to garden? Do i just buy sum seeds, dig a hole, cover it up, throw sum water on it, snap my fingers, take a nap, and wake up to great tasting food 4 next to free!

thanks L.O. I wish gardening were that easy for us. We've had gardens in the past, but only one that was really productive. This year we set out to change that and mounted a full assault on our garden; we killed off weeds, rototilled, amended, fed, went to tomato mania at Tapia Bros farm in Encino, planted and mulched. We have not yet snapped our fingers -- I'll add that one to the list.
